Domain Security with 2FA for Domain Protect+

We’re excited to announce the launch of a new feature for Domain Protect+: the introduction of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) via email, effective 29 January 2025.

This new feature will help protect your domains by requiring an additional layer of authentication for critical domain actions.

For Domain Protect+ orders, critical domain actions like – Privacy Protection, Auth Code modification, Theft Protection and Nameserver modification – will require authentication from the customer through an OTP sent via email before an action can be placed.

What You Need to Know

2FA will be automatically enabled for all existing Domain Protect+ orders.
Actions performed by the Reseller from the Reseller Control Panel will not require additional authentication.
The next phase will include 2FA via an Authenticator App, giving customers the option to choose between email or app-based authentication.
